If you’re like me, the moment you find out you’re pregnant is exciting and hopeful.  And then, the fears set in.

  • Will my baby be okay?
  • What if something goes wrong during my pregnancy?
  • What if something goes wrong during my birth?
  • What will LABOR be like?
  • Will I really want to go natural?
  • Will I get my epidural in time?

Not to mention all the stories we hear from friends, family members and even strangers!

There’s no question, for the last few decades pregnancy and birth have been given a pretty bad rap.

And all these negative  stories and messages, whether we’re aware or not, have made a deep impact on our own expectations for our pregnancy and birth and can potentially affect our own outcomes.
